Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The NgoroNgoro Conservation Area is a unique place in the world and has been designated as World Heritage Site.

The area is in fact a former volcano that exploded and collapsed around three million years ago.
The special characteristics of the crater is that is the largest inactive, intact and unfilled caldera of the world.

The fauna and wildlife in the crater has a population of around 25'000 large animals including mammals like rhinos, buffalo, elephants, hyppos.

Cats are also present including lions, cheetah, hyenas and wild dogs.

Giraffes on the other side are completely absent and leopards are rarely seen.
